Harvey Muller Services Held

Harvey Muller, of Parkersburg, passed away Monday, May 18, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, of a brief struggle with leukemia, having attained the age of 72 years, 2 months and 3 days.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 20, at 1:30 p.m. at the Pleasant Valley Reformed Church of Holland. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pastor Russell Muilenburg officiated.

Pallbearers were Gordon Muller, Larry Muller, Marvin Muller, Kenneth Muller, Dennis Muller and Richard Muller.

A memorial fund has been established.

Harvey was born on March 15, 1926, on the home farm in rural Parkersburg the son of Heine and Florence (Kalkwarf) Muller. He was born and lived his entire life on the home farm. He farmed with his dad and continued to care for his mother for many years after the death of his father.

Harvey attended Pleasant Valley Reformed Church of Holland.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Annie Muller; and a nephew, Randall Muller.

Survivors include his 2 brothers, Clarence Muller of Reinbeck and John F. and wife Sophia Muller of Parkersburg; 1 niece, Beverly Engelsman of Chandler, Arizona; and 7 nephews, Virgil Muller of Reinbeck, Gordon Muller of Davenport, Kenneth Muller of Dike, Larry Muller of Ames, Dennis, Marvin and Richard Muller all of Parkersburg.

Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center was in charge of the arrangements.
