Ella Egyabroad Winters Rites At Iowa Falls

Funeral services for Ella Mae Winters, 67, of Iowa Falls, were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at the Christian Reformed Church in Iowa Falls. Burial was held in Northlawn Memory Gardens with Rev. Jack Vander Plate, pastor of the Christian Reformed Church at Holland, MI.

Mrs. Winters died June 14, 1987, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.

She was born on August 26, 1919, at Wellsburg, to Edward and Abbie Loof Eygabroad, and graduated in 1936 from Wellsburg High School.

On February 2, 1938, she and Kenneth Winters were married at Wellsburg. They resided at Steamboat Rock for two years and rural Eldora for two years before moving to the area south of Iowa Falls in 1941.

She was owner/operator of the Bargain House from 1963-64, worked at Music Country Store from 1975-76 and as a clerk for Adams Bros. and Kenny Winters Auction Service for 27 years.

Mrs. Winters was a member of the Christian Reformed Church of Iowa Falls, of Golden Hour Circle at the church and Ellsworth Hospital Auxiliary. She was very active in Iowa Falls doing volunteer work.

She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Barbara Oke of Santa Cruz, CA, Judy Smith of Ankeny and Donna Jean Flint of Alden; a son, Eldon of Iowa Falls, 11 grandchildren, a brother, Harry Eygabroad of Dayton, two half-brothers, and two half-sisters.

Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers and a sister.
