Edward Price Dies In Albuquerque
Edward Price, 69, died Sunday, March 1, at 4:40 p.m. in the Veterans Medical Center at Albuquerque, New Mexico. Funeral arrangements are pending.
The American Legion post at Albuquerque is in charge of military rites. Burial will be in the national cemetery at Santa Fe, New Mexico. Edward's brother, Harry, and wife of Cedar Falls have been in Albuquerque for several days.
Edward was born January 24, 1918, at Grundy Center, Iowa, the son of John and Mabel Shirk Price. He graduated from the Grundy Center high school in 1936 where he was active in football and track. After graduation he went to California where he was employed until he entered the Intelligence Service of the U.S. Army. His overseas assignments were in Okinawa, Japan, and Germany. He made the army his career until he received a disability discharge. He has lived at Tigeras, New Mexico, in recent years.
He is survived by two brothers, LeRoy Price, Grundy Center, and Harry Price of Cedar Falls, also two sisters, Mrs. Alvin Launstein of Holland and Wilma Hays of Austin, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Viola Miller.
