GRAVESIDE FUNERAL SERVICE HELD FOR J. LESLIE GIBSON

Private family graveside funeral services for J. Leslie Gibson, 95, were held last week Tuesday afternoon, May 21, at Reinbeck Cemetery. There was no visitation. French Hand Funeral Home, Reinbeck, were in charge of arrangements. Memorial may be directed to the Western Home, 420 East 11th Street, Cedar Falls, Iowa 50613.

J. Leslie Gibson, 95, of Reinbeck died at 12:30 a. m. Sunday, May 18, 1996, at The Western Home in Cedar Falls where he had been residing the past several months after his health began to fail.

Leslie was born November 13, 1900, at Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of John and Emily Gillespie Gibson. He was raised and attended school in the area of Winnipeg, Canada.

He was united in marriage to Margaret Stevens of Waterloo in 1929. Mr. Gibson was a well known farmer and cattle feeder in the Reinbeck area for 56 years. He retired at the age of 86 years.

He was a Masonic Lodge Member for 73 years and a member of the Elks in Waterloo since September 21, 1949.

Surviving are two daughters, Lois Conradi of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Susan Crosby of Spokane, Washington; a grandson, Warren Baldwin and a great grandson, Justin Baldwin, both of Spokane, Washington.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Irma Jacobsen and Esther Clement.
