Mrs. Riebke Freese Laid To Rest Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Riebke Freese, 46, who died suddenly at 2 a.m. Thursday were conducted Monday at 12:30 from the home, at Holland, with Rev. Mr. Lindaman officiating and burial was made in the cemetery near Fern.

Mrs. Freese was born Effie Geiken, December 3, 1892, and was married 30 years ago to Riebke Freese. To this union 13 children were born all of whom are living but Rose Mary, who died in infancy. Surviving besides the widower are Ruth, John, Irene, Gladys, Arthur, Esther, Leroy, Richard, Ethel Faye, Arnold Lee, Juliette and Floyd, her mother, Mrs. Eka Geiken and one sister, Tena of Ackley, three brothers, John and Deddo Geiken of Ackley and Martin Geiken of Wellsburg.

Among those from Wellsburg who attended the funeral were Mrs. Henry A. Geerdes, Miss Amanda Neessen, Miss Dena C. Neessen, Mrs. Raymond Murphy, Mrs. Martin Ross, P. A. Meyer and Mrs. Clarence Beecroft, who sang at the church service.
