Mrs. Claus Harrenstein Dies From Injuries

Mrs. Claus Harrenstein died last Saturday night in the hospital at Iowa Falls from injuries she received in an automobile accident east of town two weeks before. Her remains were sent to the home here at Wellsburg on the nine o'clock train Saturday night and taken to the home. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Heinrichs were held at the home at one o'clock on Tuesday. Interment was made in the cemetery at the Heinrichs church. There was an exceptionally large attendance at the funeral.

Mrs. Harrenstein was thirty-one years old. She was a daughter of Mrs. Cebe Diekman and most of her life had been spent in this county. Aside from her father and mother she is survived by her husband and two children.

Mrs. Harrenstein made a brave fight to recover from her serious injuries and she received all the care that the best of medical skill and trained nurses could give. After her local physician did for her all that it was possible for him to do she was taken to the hospital at Iowa Falls where she submitted to two operations. She lived nearly a week after the second operation and for a time the family had reasons to hope that she might get well but this hope was dispelled two days before the end came when it was evident to the attending physicians that the end was but a question of a short time. The family who have so suddenly been called upon to part with a loved one have the sympathy of the entire community.
