Aged Wellsburg Man Died Thur. At Home

Lambertus C. Bunger passed away at his home south of Wellsburg on Thursday, January 13, 1955, having reached the age of 88 years, 10 months, and 7 days. Mr. Bunger had not been ill, but quietly passed on to his eternal reward.

Mr. Bunger was born in Germany of Coert and Taalke Bunger. He came to this country with his parents when he was a young man. He received his education in Shiloh township, where he lived most of his life.

On March 1, 1888 he was married to Grace Ruter, and they farmed together south of Wellsburg. Mr. Bunger was a member of the Wellsburg Reformed Church.

His son Coert L. Bunger passed away during World War I in 1918 at Camp Pike in Arkansas. His wife passed away on December 31, 1939. One sister, Mrs. Menno Bakker, and one brother Cuno, who died in infancy, preceded him in death.

Mr. Bunger leaves to mourn his son Aldrich, and his daughter Gepka, and five brothers and two sisters. They are A. C. Bunger, Mrs. C. O. Nederhoff, H. C. Bunger, J. C. Bunger, M. C. Bunger, Mrs. J. O. Nederhoff and T. K. Bunger.

Funeral services were held in the home at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 1955 and later in the Wellsburg Reformed Church with the Rev. George C. Poppen, officiating. Interment was made in the First Christian Reformed Cemetery west of Wellsburg.

Pall bearers were Coert A. Bunger, Coert H. Bunger, Coert C. Nederhoff, Eike Ruter, Herman P. Ruter and Herman B. Ruter.
