Last Rites Held For Wellsburg Man

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at the George Hayenga home at later at the Second Christian Reformed church for Harm K. Hayenga. Interment was made in the Shiloh Cemetery. Pall bearers were John Wubbens, Fred Wubbens, Harry Hayenga, Wm. Vanderwerf, John Weiland and Vestie Rachuy.

Harm K. Hayenga was born on August 14, 1886 in Butler county, Iowa and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Klaas Hayenga. His entire life was spent in and around Wellsburg. He was engaged in tiling.

Last Monday evening he was taken to the Grundy County Memorial hospital for medical treatment. On Friday at 10:30 a.m. he passed away at the hospital of uremic poisoning. He reached the age of 68 years, 8 months and 8 days.

Preceding the deceased in death were his parents and three sisters; Mrs. Ben Weiland, Mrs. Pete Vanderwerf and Mrs. George Wubbens.

Survivors include three brothers; John and Will Hayenga of Little Rock, George of Wellsburg, also three sisters; Mrs. Kate Miller, Mrs. Arthur Schultz and Miss Tena Hayenga all of Ackley.
