Woman Died While Paring Potatoes
Grundy Center, Ia., Nov. 10.--Mrs. Rudolph Hook died at her home near Aplington about 10 o'clock Sunday forenoon. Death was result of heart failure and came while Mrs. Hook was paring potatoes for the Sunday dinner. Funeral services were held at Aplington yesterday.
Mrs. Hook was 65 years old. Up to last spring she had been in good health. Since that time she had occasionally had trouble with her heart. She got up Sunday morning and was feeling unusually well as she did her morning work about the house. Death came without a moment's warning.
Mrs. Hook was one of the early Grundy county settlers. She and her husband resided here until a few years ago when they bought a small farm close to Aplington. The Hook families in Colfax, Shiloh and Pleasant Valley and Mrs. W. Wumkes in Lincoln are related to her. Mrs. Wm. Heerts, living west of Grundy Center, is her daughter.
