Heerts Funeral Held At Aplington, Wednesday; Died Sunday Night

Brief services were conducted at Manchester, Tuesday, for Edward Heerts, 70, who died Sunday night, after which the body was taken to Parkersburg, where funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Gustave Lang officiated. Burial was at Aplington.

He was born in Germany, April 10, 1865, and in early boyhood located near Holland, Ia. He was married there March 13, 1889, to Florence Lubberts. They went to Manchester in 1931 to reside with the family of their daughter, Mrs. Harry Stowell.

Surviving are the widow, three sons and four daughters; John Heerts, Ackley; Bert Heerts, Stout; Mrs. Charles McNabb, Mrs. Stowell, Manchester; Fred Heerts, New Hartford; and Mrs. H. T. Dix, Aplington.
