Edward O. Nederhoff, of Wellsburg, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 1995 at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center of cancer having attained the age of 78 years, 7 months, and 6 days.

Edward was born on June 11, 1916 in Grundy County, Iowa the son of Oldig and Ada (Dresselhuis) Nederhoff. He was united in marriage to Florence Eekhoff on December 16, 1941 in Wellsburg, Iowa. They farmed all their lives. His favorite hobby was carving wood toys.

Edward was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church where he served as a deacon and an elder. He served on the Timothy Christian School Board and on the Board of Trustees at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Grace Luppen and Etta Heikens.

Survivors include his wife: Florence of Wellsburg; three sons: Stanley (Marlys) of Mason City, Iowa, Eldon (Lynn) of Wellsburg, and Arlan (Cindy) of Sioux Falls, S.D.; one daughter: Karen Bosma (Larry) of Sanborn, Iowa; two brothers: Carl H. and Willis both of Wellsburg; four sisters: Ordie Eekhoff, Frances Primus, Inez Deters, and Donna Blythe all of Wellsburg; eight grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
