Mr. T. J. Morse, of the Star Restaurant, went to the country yesterday after a load of hay and received a severe sun stroke from which he died at 8 o'clock last evening. His death is a severe blow to his family who have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in this their most sad bereavement. As we go to press it is undecided as to the time of holding the funeral obsequies, as relatives have been telegraphed for who are not yet here. The Herald will contain obituary next week.

Died, in Grundy Center, Iowa, August 3, 1893, John T. Morse, aged 54 years. Deceased was born in Warren county, Ill. Sixteen years ago he came to Iowa and last fall settled in Grundy Center. He leaves a wife and four children to mourn his death. He died very suddenly from the effects of a sunstroke received while at work and only lived a few hours. He was an honest, temperate and highly respected citizen. The funeral services were conducted at the M. E. church by the Masonic fraternity of which he was a member. For a good man, "to die is gain."
