Mr. and Mrs. D. H. McCracken, west of town, lost their little daughter, Lennie, last week. She died of typhoid fever and was sick only a short time. Her parents, brothers and sisters will miss her in the home circle and nothing but the soft hand of time can heal their wounds and reconcile them to the loss of their dear one. They have the sympathy of their friends and neighbors in their affliction, and an abiding faith in the providences of God will sustain and comfort them.

She is gone, our household treasure,
Gone the little form we love;
But we know our precious darling
Waits us in the home above.

Now our home seems dark and desolate,
For the light of these short years
Has been taken by our Father,
But he comforts those in tears.

We will thank Him that he gave her,
For she scattered Sunshine here,
And our lives have been the brighter,
That we loved this child so dear.

Help us, Father, in our sorrow
Still to say "Thy will be done;"
Give us patient resignation,
Till Thou bid'st us also come.

Then, again we'll meet our Lennie,
In that bright, immortal home;
There with her we'll dwell forever,
Where no tears and partings come.
