Howard William, infant son of Oscar and Mary Thomas, born August 6, 1893, died August 27, 1894, aged one year and three weeks. The funeral was held at M. E. church of Morrison, Rev. C. E. Logsden preaching the sermon from 2 Sam. 12:23, "I shall go to him but he shall not return to me." Thus one of the ties that bound us to this world has been removed and is beckoning us to heaven.

"I take these little lambs," said he,
"And lay them on my breast,
Protection they shall find in me,
And everlasting rest."
