Greg DeVries, 43, of Grundy Center, Iowa, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center, Iowa while under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the Union Congregational United Church of Christ in Reinbeck, Iowa, with Reverend Joel Love officiating. Burial will follow at the Reinbeck Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday September 22, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at French-Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Greg was born March 29, 1967 to his parents Jerry Lee and Elizabeth Marie “Sally” DeVries. He was raised in Reinbeck and graduated from Reinbeck High School. Greg enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed supporting his favorite team the Pittsburgh Steelers. Greg was united in marriage to his wife Barb on April 9, 2010 at the Union Congregational United Church of Christ Church, in Reinbeck, Iowa. He loved spending time with his friends and family.

Greg is survived by his wife Barb; his brothers Gaylen (Karen) and Ricky (Wendi); daughters Morgan and Taylor; 4 nephews and 3 stepsons.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gary.
