William Fredreick Koch, 98, of Reinbeck, Iowa, died Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at Parkview Manor in Reinbeck, Iowa. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John Lutheran Church in Reinbeck, Iowa with Pastor Bruce Boyce officiating. Burial to follow at Reinbeck cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the French - Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck, Iowa.

Bill was born November 8, 1910 in the son of Fredreich and Theresa (Stickfort) Koch. Bill attended country school. On March 13, 1934 he was united in marriage to Maggie "Margaret" Sweet at the Lincoln Center Christian Reformed Church. Bill worked as a farmer in the Grundy Center area. He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Reinbeck for many years.

Bill is survived by his wife: Margaret; a daughter: Shirley and her husband Robert Dufel of Hudson, Iowa; a son: Robert "Bob" of Reinbeck, Iowa; 8 grandchildren: Cindy and husband Mike Bowen, Connie and husband Mike Twente, Kriss and husband Pete Kacmarynski, Curt and wife Pam Mauer, Cliff and wife Lisa Mauer, Gordon Mauer, Nichole and husband Bill Buzynski, and Leon and wife Tammy Koch; 19 great grandchildren; and 1 great great granddaughter; a brother: Alfred Koch of Kentucky; and a sister: Dorothy Ackerman of Reinbeck, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son: Leon Koch; a brother: Herman Koch; and a sister: Vernie Bolman.
