Henry Louis Eckhoff died October 20th, 2009 at The Presbyterian Village in Ackley. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 23rd, 2009 10:30 A.M. at the First Christian Reformed Church of Wellsburg with Pastor Tom Vos officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 22nd from 6 to 8 P.M. at Doyen-Abels Funeral Home, Wellsburg. Interment will be held at the First Christian Reformed Church cemetery.

He was born December 3, 1920 in rural Wellsburg, son of Peter A. Eckhoff and Anna H. Heeren Eckhoff. He married Louise E. Beenken on August 14, 1941 in Princeton, Missouri. Henry was a retired farmer.

Survivors include: his wife; son Paul (LuAnne) of Creston; 2 daughters Lois (Lynn) Boelman of Ackley & Arlys (Randy) Eckel of Belle Plaine; son-in-law John Oliviera of Urbandale; 8 grandchildren Lisa Eckhoff Ensign, Christa Boelman Mooi, Brent Eckhoff, Jason Heffelmeier, Shannon Boelman Jepsen, Jennifer Heffelmeier Huisman, Erin Eckel and Gina Eckel; 5 great-grandchildren Kellan Mooi, Zach Smith and Natalie, Claire and Carly Jepsen.

Preceded in death by: his parents; one brother Arend G. Eckhoff; one sister Ordie Green and two sisters in infancy; daughter Verda Oliviera; 3 great-grandchildren Sydney Smith, Eli Jepsen and Treye Blythe.
