Grace Wesemann, 88, of Grundy Center, died from natural causes on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the Grundy County Memorial Hospice Long Term Care Unit while under the care of Iowa Hospice. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Friday, September 11, 2009 at Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation is from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday at Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center. Memorials may be directed to the Bethany Presbyterian Church or Iowa Hospice.

Grace was born December 11, 1920 in rural Grundy Center, Iowa, daughter of William and Minnie (Miller) Everts. She was educated in Country School, Beaver #8, and raised in Beaver Township near Fern, Iowa. On December 15, 1943 Grace was united in marriage to Henry Wesemann in Herman, Minnesota and they made their home in the Grundy Center area. Grace was primarily a home maker but had also worked at several jobs outside of the home. She was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church and enjoyed reading and crocheting.

She is survived by a brother, Bernhard Everts and his wife, Hermina of Parkersburg, Iowa; nephews, Larry (Diane) Everts of Waterloo and Dale (Sharon) Everts of Cedar Rapids; niece, Bonnie (Terry) Schroeder of Grundy Center; and great-nieces and nephews, Kristin Schneiderman, Dean and David Everts, Jamie Randl, Shane and Misty Schroeder, and Erin and Daniel Everts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry on April 12, 1990; by her parents; and brother, Fred Everts.
