Obituary Of Tade Boomgarden

Tade Boomgarden passed away at the Allen Memorial hospital early Thursday morning, March 19, due to a heart attack. He reached the age of 77 years and 22 days.

He was born in Germany on Feb. 27, 1893, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Heye Boomgarden, Sr. (nee Swantje Feldman). At the age of nine weeks he came to America with his family. They settled on a farm in Hardin County west of Wellsburg. The family moved to Wellsburg in 1913. Prior to this they lived in the Laurens, Iowa area for 2 years. He and his brothers were engaged in road construction for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, George.

Those who survive him are 3 brothers: Heye Boomgarden, Jr. of Wellsburg; Jake Boomgarden of Steamboat Rock; Trinus Boomgarden of Wellsburg and 4 nephews.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 21, at 2:00 p.m. at the Doyen Funeral Home. The Rev. Gideon Wolbrink was officiating clergyman. Pall bearers were Rev. Lloyd Boomgarden, Heine Boomgarden, Ralph Boomgarden, Lee Boomgarden, Leland Heinrich and Norman Huisman. Interment was made in Shiloh Cemetery at Wellsburg.
