Rites Held For Carl J. Nederhoff

Carl J. Nederhoff, 84, passed away on Monday, July 10, at the Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo of natural causes.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 13, at 1:30 p.m. at the Second Christian Reformed Church with burial following in the Shiloh Cemetery both in Wellsburg. Pastor Douglas Holmes officiated the service.

Pallbearers were Irwin Abels, Henry O. Nederhoff, Clarence Murra, Kendall Neessen, Marvin Nederhoff and Dean Nederhoff.

A memorial fund has been established.

Carl was born on October 23, 1910, the son of Henry O. and Peterka (Pearl) Eekhoff Nederhoff in Grundy County.

Carl was united in marriage to Carrie Murra on January 14, 1932, at the First Christian Reformed Church parsonage in Wellsburg. They farmed in the Wellsburg area and moved into Wellsburg in 1974. Carl became a resident of the Long Term Care in Grundy Center in January of 1994. He was a member of the Second Christian Reformed Church and served as an elder and deacon.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie in 1990; parents; and 2 brothers, Odie H. and Peter H.

He is survived by his son, Roger Nederhoff and wife Marian of Wellsburg; 1 daughter, Patricia Neessen and husband LuRay of Wellsburg; 5 grandchildren; and 2 step-great-grandchildren.

The Doyen-Abels Funeral Home in Wellsburg was in charge of the arrangements.
