DeEtte Merrell, 76, of Tampa, died Sunday. She was a retired high school English and French teacher, and had lived in the Bay area 15 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She graduated cum laude from Buena Vista Lake College of Storm Lake, IA, and was a member of Phi Alpha Phi Sorority. She is survived by a sister, Virginia Will of Tampa.

Funeral services for Mrs. DeEtte Merrell, 76, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. Those attending are requested to meet at the cemetery.
