Chase Rites Held at Cedar Falls

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon from Brown's funeral home in this city for Wallace O. Chase, 74, who died Tuesday, May 19, at the Presbyterian hospital in Waterloo. Chase, a resident of Dike and this vicinity his entire life, was the victim of a stroke of paralysis.

He was born Sept. 7, 1867, in Fairfield township, Grundy county, son of Henry O. and Angelina A. Chase, pioneer residents of Grundy county. He married Ella Kerr of Cedar Falls Nov. 26, 1891. She died Feb. 28, 1899 at Dairyville, Ia.

Surviving are two brothers, Herbert O. Chase of Thornton, Ia, and Van A. Chase of Dike, and one sister, Mrs. R. A. Gage, Cedar Falls. There are several nephews and nieces. His parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
