Viola Wagner, age 63 of Wellsburg, died on Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Presbyterian Village in Ackley. Memorial services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley with inurnment in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, rural Ackley. Family will receive friends one hour before services on Saturday. Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Valley Hospice or the Presbyterian Village.

Viola Jane Wagner was born on February 17, 1946 in Eldora, Iowa, the daughter of Abraham and Verna (Geerdes) Wilts. She graduated from the Ackley High School. She was married to Roger Reints in 1970 and later divorced. She was united in marriage to James Wagner in November of 1986. She had been a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Viola is survived by her two sons, John Reints of Mt. Vernon, WA and Justin Berends, and his wife, Melissa of Wellsburg; a daughter, Melladee Reints and her fiancé, Eric Nichols of Eldora; five grandchildren; a sister, Ann Benning and her husband, Merlin of Oelwein; two brothers, Robert Wilts of Ackley and John Wilts and his wife, Virginia of Cedar Rapids; a niece, Steph Benning and her fiancé, Brad Maillie of Oelwein; a nephew, Brent Benning and his wife, Susan of Aurora; two uncles, Roy Luiken of Arkansas and Edward Geerdes and his wife, Viola of Ackley; an aunt, Freda Harms of Steamboat Rock; two great-nephews and two great-nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James.
