Dena Eldred, age 98, of Iowa Falls, died on Monday, August 31, 2009 at the Scenic Nursing Home in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 11th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls with burial in the Union Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The Surls Funeral Home of Iowa Falls is in charge of arrangements.

Dena Eldred was born on December 22, 1910 in Wellsburg, Iowa, the daughter of William and Rina (DeVries) Lindaman. She graduated from the Wellsburg High School.

Dena was united in marriage to Kenneth Eldred on November 13, 1937 in Wellsburg and moved to Iowa Falls in 1941. She was a homemaker and mother.

Dena is survived by her two sons, William Eldred of Chugiak, Alaska and Kendall Eldred of Marshalltown; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers and two sisters.
