Alice Janssen, age 99, of Iowa Falls, died on Monday, November 9, 2009 at the Scenic Manor Nursing Home in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with burial in the Christian Reformed Cemetery, rural Wellsburg. Surls Funeral Home of Iowa Falls is in charge of arrangements.

Alice Janssen was born on March 14, 1910 in Steamboat Rock, Iowa, the daughter of Richard and Antje (Kramer) Janssen. She graduated from the Iowa Falls High School and had been a housekeeper.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her nine brothers and sisters, Tresse, Dick, Anna, Helen, Johnny, Ed, Gladdes, George, and Lilly.
