Mrs. Louise A. Tostlebe

Funeral services for Mrs. Louise A. Tostlebe, 81, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at First Evangelical United Brethren church with the Dahl funeral home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Fairfield cemetery west of Cedar Falls. She died Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Western Home, where she had lived since 1944.

She was born March 12, 1880, on a farm southwest of Cedar Falls, daughter of Charles and Mary (Borger) Thierman. She attended Iowa State Normal School and taught in rural Black Hawk county schools several years.

She was married March 30, 1910, to Carl G. Tostlebe. They farmed in the Cedar Falls community until his death in 1944. She was a member of First EUB church of Cedar Falls, and an active member of the Ladies Aid and Missionary Society as long as her health permitted. She was also a member of Greenwood Cemetery Association.

Survivors include a brother, Charles Thierman of 1009 Clay St.; two sisters, Mrs. L. W. Bock, of the Western Home, and Mrs. Katherine Walters, Burbank, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband, her parents, six brothers and one sister.

A memorial fund is being established for the McCurdy School of Missions project of the EUB church.
