CEDAR FALLS-Funeral services for Walter Grau, 77, of Route 4 who died at his farm home early Wednesday morning of a heart attack will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with the Rev. R. H. Aurand, retired pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery west of Cedar Falls.

He was born Oct. 19, 1895, in Grundy County, the son of Ole and Marie Skow Grau. He married Gladys North on Sept. 23, 1933, at Scales Mound, Ill. He is survived by his wife and one sister, Mrs. Carrie Schmitt of 517 Cutler St., Waterloo.

Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers and one sister.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 137 in Cedar Falls and the Royal Neighbors of America. Mr. Grau was a veteran of World War I and farmed most of his life in the Cedar Falls area.

Friends may call at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
