A fatal accident befell little Beulah Carey, the sixteen months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Taylor of Morrison, Wednesday morning. She fell forward from a low rocker, striking upon her face. At the time no harm seemed to be done. But in the afternoon she showed symptoms of sickness, and fell into a deep sleep from which she could not be awakened. At ten in the evening she died. It is thought the fall must have caused a rupture at the base of her brain.

A sad accident occurred at the home of Joe Taylor last week Wednesday. The baby, one and a half years old was playing in a rocking chair, and in some manner fell out on to it's face. At the time no serious effects were anticipated but the little girl soon commenced to get worse and in spite of the best medical aid that could be procured, passed away at ten o'clock Wednesday evening. The funeral services were held Friday at the M.E. church and the body was interred in the Reinbeck cemetery. The Democrat extends it's sincere sympathy to the parents in their bereavement.
