Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Kerr, living west of town, who were called upon to bury their 3 year old son last Tuesday, takes this method of expressing their thanks to all who so kindly assisted them during his sickness and death.

Died, July 9, 1894, Orville Kerr. He was born September 22, 1891, near Hopedale, Tazewell county, Ill. He leaves a father, mother, four brothers and other relatives to mourn his loss. The mourners have the sympathy of many friends in their bereavement. In a note handed the minister were these words: "He was a bright and affectionate child, mild in disposition, kind and obedient for one so young." Another bud has been plucked from earth to blossom with eternal fragrance in a world where death and sorrow never come. The funeral services were conducted by J. B. Newville in the Alice church.
