Grundy Center—Mrs. J. P. Meyer, age 87, died Thursday evening at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Henry G. Dirks, of old age and complications.

She was born in Ogle county, Illinois, and came to Iowa with her parents at the age of 8 in a covered wagon and settled in Colfax township, where she lived until five years ago when she and her husband moved to Grundy Center to make their home with her daughter.

Her husband preceded her in death two years ago; also one infant son.

Surviving are three sons and five daughters, Peter, and Harm Meyer, Holland, and Eilert Meyer, Wellsburg; Mrs. John Maas, Holland; Mrs. Ben Jaspers, Wellsburg, Mrs. John J. Kruse, Mrs. Henry Schulta, and Mrs. Henry G. Dirks, Grundy Center; two brothers, William E. Knock, Wellsburg. and Enno E. Knock, Grundy Center; funeral services at the Home of the daughter, Mrs. Henry Dirks,.

Services at 1:30 in the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church with burial in the church cemetery.
