Stewart Funeral Held in Reinbeck; (Courier Special Service); Reinbeck, Ia. Funeral services for John R. Stewart, who would have celebrated his eightieth birthday Friday was conducted here Wednesday afternoon in Union Congregational church.

He was an early resident of Reinbeck, and lived here until two years ago when he went to live with a sister, Mrs. J. M. Jackson, Jefferson, IA, where he died Sunday evening.

Stewart, who was a native of Perth, Scotland, married Miss May Atwood at Bryant, IA in 1880. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at Reinbeck, Sept. 15, 1930. Mrs. Stewart died Oct. 29, 1930.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. (Carrie) James Jackson, M.D., and Mrs. (Nellie) Albert C. Cooper, Sioux City, IA, and two sons, Paul A., New York, and John H., Los Angeles.

He was a charter member of Union Congregational church and served as Sunday school superintendent there 40 years. He was also a charter member of the Reinbeck Masonic Lodge, and the Odd Fellow Lodge. For many years he operated a lumber, grain and coal business here.
