Reinbeck - Funeral services for Frank L. Gordon, 74, of Manson, were here Friday; born Aug. 10, 1870 at Teeds Grove, IA, Clinton county, son of George W. & Margaret Gordon; in 1885 came with his parents to Tama county, Iowa; on Dec. 30, 1891 he married Miss Jessie Stewart, Reinbeck & they lived on a farm south of Reinbeck more than 40 years; while farming in this community Mr. Gordon, engaged in the breeding of purebred Hereford cattle; active in township & community affairs during the time of his residence in this community & held various township offices; was a member of the Congregational church of Reinbeck; family moved to Dickinson county, Iowa in 1928, & in 1935 Mr. & Mrs Gordon moved to a farm near Manson, in Calhoun county, where they have since resided; leaves widow (Jessie Stewart), two sons, Kenneth, Terrill, & Roscoe, Manson; four grandsons, one of whom, Kenneth Frank Gordon, is in the air corps at Ellington Field, Texas, & will graduate about March 29, as navigator; one brother, Arthur Gordon, Traer; only sister, Mrs. Bessie Walters, died at Traer a few months ago.
