WELLSBURG - Luella Lindaman, 90, of Wellsburg died Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, at Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Reinbeck. Funeral services were Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the Wellsburg Reformed Church in Wellsburg with Pastor Todd Rempe officiating. Burial followed at the Wellsburg Reformed Church Cemetery in Wellsburg. Memorials may be directed to the Wellsburg Reformed Church.

Luella was born July 15, 1913, in Wellsburg to Otta and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Ackerman) Tjaden. She received her education in Wellsburg and graduated from the Wellsburg High School. On Jan. 8, 1934, Luella was united in marriage to Woodrow "Woody" Lindaman in Wellsburg. They made their home in Wellsburg and lived there all their married lives. Luella was a homemaker until she went to work for the U.S. Post Office in Wellsburg, working as a postal clerk for 10 years. In 2000, she moved to Arlington Place in Grundy Center. Luella was a member of the Wellsburg Reformed Church, where she sang in the church choir for many years. Luella enjoyed painting, gardening, sewing and buying clothes.

Survivors include three granddaughters, Carol Wagner and husband Gary of Carlsbad, Calif., Sue Boggioni and husband Larry of Santee, Calif., and Barb Dennstedt and husband Steve of Ramona, Calif.; four great-grandchildren, Amy Boggioni and Molly Boggioni of Santee, Calif., and Michael and Kristina Estes of Ramona, Calif.; and one son-in-law, E. A. Mauri of Menifee, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Woody; and one daughter, Lila Le Mauri.

Doyen-Abels Funeral Home of Wellsburg was in charge of arrangements.
