IOWA FALLS—Lloyd John Lindaman, 82, of Iowa Falls, died Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at the Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 8, at the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls with burial in the Union Cemetery, Iowa Falls. Visitation will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Suns Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with a 5 p.m. Elk’s service. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa or the Union Cemetery.

Lloyd John Lindaman was born April 18, 1924, on the family farm near Wellsburg, in Grundy County, to John and Mae (Finger) Lindaman. He attended country schools near Wellsburg and served his country in the U.S. Army. On Dec. 12, 1945, he was united in marriage to Myrle Oelmann at the East Friesland Presbyterian Church in Ackley. He was the founder of Lindaman-Mott Monument Company in 1954 and retired in 1986. Lloyd was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Iowa Falls Elks Club BPOE Lodge No. 1674, Hyman-Peavey American Legion Post No. 188 of Iowa Fails, Highland Golf Club, E-Club of Ellsworth College, and the North Central Iowa I-Club. He enjoyed vacationing with his family in Okoboji, fishing, golfing, and was an avid Hawkeye fan.

Survivors include his wife, Myrle of Iowa Falls; three daughters, Donna Roberts McManus and husband Michael of Memphis, Tenn., Karen Gahan and husband Bill of Clive, and Sue Ekindge and husband Gary of Iowa Falls; a son, Jeff Lindaman and wife Kim of Bettendorf; six grandchildren, Jill (Marty) Moore of St. Louis, Mo., Stacy (Dan) Mills of Phoenix, Ariz., Maggie (Jon) Malm of Baltimore Md., and Emily, John and Kate Lindaman, all of Bettendorf; five great-grandchildren, Ben, Jack, and Sam Mills, Dylan and Tatam Moore; one brother, Delbert Lindaman of Wellsburg; and one sister, Darlene (Glen) Arends of Parkersburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law Gar Roberts; and sister-in-law Florence Lindaman.
