Last Rites Held At Jefferson For Mrs. Wm. McClurg

Scranton(THNS)-Funeral services were held Friday at 2:30 at the Slininger Funeral Home in Jefferson for Mrs. William C. McClurg who died Wednesday night at her home in Jefferson. She was 88 years old and had been bedfast the past two weeks. Burial was in the Wright cemetery beside her husband who died 13 years ago.

Louisa Jane, daughter of Irvin and Delilah Wright, was born in Bristol township and spent her entire life in this community. She was one of a family of thirteen children. All have preceded her in death except one brother, Oliver Wright of Jefferson.

Three daughters and one son also preceded her in death.

Three sons, Ira F. of Trenton, Mo.; Clement of Jefferson, and Ora H. of Scranton, and one daughter Mrs. Elsie Hartwigsen of Jefferson, survive, as do a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She leaves a total of 86 direct living descendants.
