CALVIN STREAM DEAD

Calvin Stream was born in Licking County, Ohio, September 2nd, 1845, and died March 23rd, 1912, age 66 years, 7 months, 21 days.

In September 1854 he came with his parents to Cedar Rapids and settled on a farm in Putman Township, Linn County, Iowa. In the years of 1868 he moved to Greene County, Iowa, where he has since resided. In 1877 he was married to Catherine Andrew. To them were born 5 children - Albert, Clarence, Ella, George and June. All being at his bed side when he died.

On August 11th, 1908, his wife died, being the first death in the family since the union. He was of a family of 14 children. There being only 3 left, four proceeding him less than ten months ago.

For the last few years he has made his home with his son, Clarence where he died. For the last year he has been in poor health and bore his suffering with patience, saying his home was broken up and his children were provided for and he was ready to go.

The funeral services were held at the M. E. church Monday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. C. B. Guest, and attended by a large congregation of sympathizing friends and neighbors, after which interment was made in the Churdan cemetery.

The Reporter join with the host of friends in extending sympathy to the heart broken children during these sad hours of sorrow. Cal, as he was called, was a friend to everybody, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
