THE REPORTER, CHURDAN, IOWA - MAY 19, 1949
FRANK OUTTRIM LAID TO HIS FINAL REST SUNDAY

Frank Outtrim, son of George E. and Ida Outtrim, was born in Greene County, Iowa, October 8, 1892, and passed away suddenly at his home east of Churdan, Thursday evening, May 12, 1949, at the age of 56 years, 7 months and 4 days.
He resided on a farm in Dawson Township with his parents until 1908, when they moved to Churdan.

On November 12, 1913, he was united in marriage to Mattie Andrew, and they moved to a farm in Dawson Township, where they resided until his death.

To this union one son was born, Merle.

Mr. Outtrim was preceded in death by his Father and Mother and one brother, Ely.

Mr. Outtrim is survived by his wife, one son, Merle, of Jefferson, two grandsons, Gary and Gail, his brother Edward of Jefferson and a host of relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Churdan, Sunday afternoon, May 15th, 1949, at 2:00 o’clock. Words of comfort were spoken by the pastor Rev. Geo. C. Foster. Mrs. Alta Flack and Mrs. Waite Reading sang "Going Down the Valley" and "Beautiful Isle," accompanied by Mrs. Niles Wittfoth.

Casket Bearers: Glen Andrew, Larry Gardner, James Custer, Paul Blair, Clyde Gardner and Kenneth Brumbaugh. Interment in the Highland Township Cemetery at Churdan.
