OBITUARY

Susan Jane Flack, daughter of Samuel and Rebecca Flack was born in Jones County, Iowa May 31, 1862. Departed this life at her home in Churdan, Iowa, Sunday morning January 11, 1914. At the age of 51 years, 7 months and 11 days. At the age of 9 years she, and her parents moved to Greene County, Iowa where her girlhood and womanhood days were spent. At the age of 19 years she was converted and united with the Free Methodist church. She like many others did not prove faithful, but four years previous to her death she was reclaimed and reunited with the church of her choice, and remained a faithful member till the time of her death. She was united in marriage to Clayton Andrew, February 28, 1883. To this union was born seven children; Earl T. of Iowa Falls; Clara May Howard of Churdan; Irwin E. who died in infancy; Florence R. Howard of Minot, N.D.; Mattie A.; Samuel Wilford, and Laura E. who remain at home. They were all at her bedside at the time of her death. Besides her husband and children she leaves to mourn her death four grandchildren, five brothers and one sister, Mrs. William Andrew, Robert, Alfred, Richard Flack of Churdan, and Salathiel and Samuel of Jefferson, besides a host of friends. She was a lover of her home and family, and of children always trying to teach them the way of Eternal Life. She was a faithful teacher of Sunday School class as long as she was able to go to the house of God, always having the interest of the church at heart. Her labors of love will be greatly missed and we shall always look forward to the meeting in our Eternal Home.

Funeral services were conduccted by ther former pastor Rev. Austin of Shenandoah, Iowa, assisted by her paster Rev. Saunders.
