Funeral services were held Monday, January 19, from the Slininger-Rossow Chapel in Jefferson for Elizabeth Flack, 97, lifetime Greene county resident.

The Rev. Robert G. Beard, pasotr of First Baptist Church of Jefferson, officiated. Debra McGinn was soloist, with Helen Wilson was organist.

Casket bearers were Curt, Todd, Craig and Michael Flack and Michael and David Raffensperger. Interment was in Highland Township Cemetery at Churdan.

Elizabeth Flack, daughter of August and Bertha Burchmiller Flack, [Knapper] was born November 19, 1889, near Farlin. She passed away January 14, 1987, at Rogers, OK.

Elizabeth spent her entire life in Greene county and attended school in Bristol township and Jefferson High School. She taught school for a time in Kendrick township.

On June 5, 1912, she was united in marriage with Ralph Flack at the home of the Bride's parents on a farm between Farlin anbd Churdan. They were the parents of one son, Cecil. They made their home on a farm near Farlin until 1955 when they moved to Jefferson. Their golden wedding anniversary was celebrated in 1962.

Elizabeth was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Jefferson and the Entire Nous Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1963. She was also preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Albert, Frank, Charles, Daniel and Jesse Knapper; and four sisters, Mrs. Olive Stream, Mrs. Ella Graven, Pearl and Clara Knapper.

She is survived by her son and daugher-in-law, Cecil and Iris Flack of Rogers, AR; four grandchildren; Ted McMurry of Meeker OK, Tom Flack of Jefferson, Dennis Flack of Oriskany, NY and Sharon [Mrs. John] Raffensperger of Iowa City; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchldren; and nephews and nieces.
