Algy L. Anderson was born January 5, 1890 in Watseka, Illinois and died January 28, 1966 in Adrian, Minnesota. He is buried in the Jefferson Cemetery. He was married to Goldie Lulu McClurg.

Funeral here for Algy L. Anderson

Services were held from the Slininger Chapel for Algy L. Anderson, 76, Monday afternoon. Burial was made in the Jefferson Cemetery.

The Rev. Clinton B. Meininger of Central Christian Church officiated. Wendell Wright sang "Abide With Me" accompanied by Mrs. Eldin Kinsman.

Casket bearers were Jack, Dick & Larry Peterson, Dennis & Robert Anderson and William Franey.

Algy L., son of Francis & Sarah Anderson, was born January 5, 1890 at Watseka, Illinois and passed away January 28, at Adrian, Minnesota at the age of 76 years and 23 days. In 1903 the family moved to Iowa where Mr. Anderson grew to manhood.

In 1914 he was united in marriage to Goldie McClurg, at Scranton. To this union seven children were born. The couple made their home in the Scranton community.

Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his wife; 1 daughter, Betty Mae, his parents, 3 borthers: Veryl, Lester and Marion; 2 sisters: Erma and Bertha. He is survived by his 6 children: Darlene (Mrs. Carl Knutson) of Colton, California; Nadine (Mrs. Edgar Rudi) of Iowa City; Royal Anderson of Jefferson; Maxine (Mrs. Virgil Peterson) of Paton; Eugene Anderson of Livermore, California; Beverly (Mrs. Fred Ogren) of Jefferson; 20 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 brother Ralph Anderson of La Crescenta, California and 1 sister Faye (Mrs. Mont F. Munsell) of Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas.
