OBITUARY OF ESTELLA ESKEW
Estella A. Fouts, was born Dec. 4, 1876 at Riverton, Ia., the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Fouts, and passed away June 26,1950 at the General Hospital in Milwaukee, Wis. She graduated from the Riverton high school in 1895.
In August, 1899 she was united in marriage to Ancil Eskew and to this union was born one daughter, Frances Elizabeth. Mr. Eskew preceded her in death in 1914. Her mother, father and one brother and one sister also preceded her in death.
She united with the Methodist church here when a girl and was a faithful worker in the church and W.C.T.U. She was an honorary member of the Riverton Sorosis Club. Those who knew her will remember her pleasant smile and her willingness to help others at all times.
She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, Frances, two grandchildren, Patricia and Richard Plumb of Buffalo, New York, and two brothers, Ross Fouts of Whittier, Calif., and Festus Fouts of Milwaukee, Wis.
Funeral rites were conducted at Shull Funeral Home on Thursday, June 29 by Rev. Duane Manning. Music was by Mrs. Robert Anderson and Mrs. Leslie Johnson, assisted at the piano by Mrs. Wm. Stubbs. Casket bearers were Waldo Cowden, Robert Anderson, Benjamin Shull, Talbert Randolph, Ed Shearer and Elmer Roberts. Interment was in Riverton cemetry.
Among those from out of town attending the services were Mrs. Lillian Fouts of Council Bluffs; Mr. and Mrs. Victor Jackson of Omaha; Festus Fouts of Milwaukee, Wis.; Mrs. Lena Van Sant, Mrs. Rachel Perkins, Mrs. Anna Coy, Mrs. John Cooper, Mrs. Hugh Randall and Mrs. Everett Kearn of Farragut and Mr. and Mrs. John Gray of Sidney.
