SUDDEN DEATH OF OSA HARROW
This community was shocked by the news of the sudden death of Osa Harrow from a heart condition, while attending the state fair in Des Moines on Tuesday of last week. Mr. Harrow had almost been a life time resident of Hamburg, coming to this community with his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Frank M. Harrow, when a small child. Following schooling in the local schools he was engaged for several years as a clothing salesman, operated a laundry and then was a traveling man for several years. Due to poor health he remained at home for a few years, then took employment as a manager of the state liquor store. This was his employment at the time of his death.
Osa L Harrow was born in Shenandoah July 20, 1887 and died in Des Moines August 29, 1950, aged 63 years, 1 month and 9 days. He was united in marriage to Bessie Bogan in Denver on February 21, 1912 and to this union two children were born, C. Willard Harrow and Mrs. Richard Anderson (Betty Lee). He is also survived by one sister, Gertrude Harrow of Canton, Mo.
Funeral services were held at the Johnson Funeral Home Tuesday morning, conducted by the Rev. Cecil C. Latta, interment was in the Hamburg cemetery.
