MRS. MATTIE PARKER DIES

Mrs. Mattie Laughlin Parker, a resident of this community for many years, passed away at a convalence home in Council Bluffs Friday, following an illness of about a month.

She was born in Mercer County, Missouri and moved to Hamburg with her family, where she made her home for many years. She was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Stella Nelson of San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. Cora Pomeroy of Hood River, Oregon; and Mrs. Mona McKean of Council Bluffs; one son, James McLaughlin; thirteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs Ed Doll of Council Bluffs. She had passed on her 93rd birthday.

Funeral services were held Monday, August 23 at 2 p.m., at the Johnson Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. C.E. Kingsley. Burial was made in the Hamburg cemetery.
