MRS. ROSE COFFEY OBITUARY

Elsie Rose Coffey, daughter of John and Rebecca Simmons, was born Nov. 25, 1875, in Fremonty County, near Hamburg, and passed away in the Hamburg Community Hospital Aug. 22, 1955, at the age of 79 years, 9 months and 27 days. She had been ill at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clarence Butts for several months.

Oct. 31, 1894, she was united in marriage to Walon Coffey, and to this union four children were born, one child dying in infancy. Mr. Coffey preceded her in death, May 7, 1952. She is survived by two sons, Faye of near Farragut and Merle of Cutler City, Ore., and one daughter, Mrs. C.O. Butts, Riverton, one granddaughter, Mrs. Robert Moser of Lake Manawa, two great grandsons, Michael and Chuckie, one sister, Mrs. Anna Spears of West Plains, Mo., two brothers, Harry of near Hamburg, and B.O. of Riverton, and nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral rites were conducted at Shull Funeral Home in Riverton Aug. 24 at 2 p.m. by Rev. Geo. Campbell of Farragut. Music was by Mrs. Robert Anderson and Mrs. Harriet Parkison, with Mrs. Wm. Stubbs accompaniest. Mrs. Leslie Johnson and Mrs. Reid Jones cared for flowers. Pall-bearers were Wallace Morgan, Ralph Raymond, Talbert Randolph, Leslie Johnson, Elvis Butts and Waldo Cowden. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemeery south of Riverton.
