John Clark Chaney

John Clark Chaney, was born in Harrison Co., Ohio, Aug. 18, 1884, and died in Stuart, Neb., Jan. 15, 1916, being 61 years, 4 months and 27 days of age.

When 18 years of age he came with this parents to Clay county, Mo., then moved to Fremont county, Iowa. He was married to Miss Sarah Iler, February 3, 1859. 10 children were born, one daughter dying in infancy. Those who survive him ae John H. of Stuart, Neb.; Harve, of Franklin, Neb., Nicholas of Ocordo, Neb., Mrs. Nettie Cowles of Riverton, Iowa, Mrs. Nannie Freidenburg, Neleigh, Neb., Mrs. Rose Peterson, Geneva, Neb., Mrs. Estella Summers, Pender, Neb., Mrs. Nellie Kuhntz, Denver, Colo., Mrs. Mary Manrose, Brnsh, Neb.

He leaves his faithful wife 9 grandchildren, 35 grandchildren, 2 sisters and 5 brothers and a host of friends. He united with the Baptist church at 30 years of age and lives a true Christian life till the end.
