"Kimber Smith died Wednesday"

Kimber Raymond Smith, 74, of Nebraska City died early Wednesday after suffering a heart attack at his home. He had been ill for eight months.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m., at Peterson Mortuary with the Rev. D. H. McMillan officiating.

Surviving are sons and daughters, Gerold D. Smith, Riverton, Ia., Mrs. Oliver (Dorothy) Smith, Medford, Ore., Walter C. Smith, Fontana, Calif., Carl A. Smith, Nebraska City; Mrs. Donald L. (Leadora) Milburn, Papillion; and Mrs. Evalt M. (Coretta) Whitten, Granada Hills, Calif. A son and a daughter preceded Mr. Smith in death.

Also surviving are his wife, two brothers, 18 grandchildren, tree great-grandchildren and two brothers, Norman J. Smith, Nebraska City; and George C. Smith, Brownsville, Ore.

Mr. Smith was born at Riverton, Ia., September 4, 1886, the son of Wm. and Caroline Smith. He married Rose M. Cowles at Sidney, Ia., on March 29, 1909. He farmed near Hamburg, Ia., before moving to Nebraska City 11 years ago.

He as a member of the Baptist church. Burial will be at Mount Zion cemetery at Riverton.
