Robert Edward Tysor, son of Richard and Nellie Seagraves Tysor, was born Nov. 29, 1922 at Thurman, IA and died Saturday, Sept. 5, 1992 at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha, NE. He started school in Plattsmouth, NE and then moved with his family to Riverton, IA where he graduated from high school.

He was married to Ruth McCluskey in 1944 and to this union one son, Robert was born. They lived in Wyoming and in the Riverton and Shenandoah areas. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from June 17, 1943 - Apr 1, 1946.

In 1952, Bob was married to Agnes Erdman and to this union four children, Randy, Roberta, Daniel and Russ were born. They lived their married life in Gillette, WY and in Oklahoma City, OK where Bob was a chef and Certified Club Manager. Agnes died in 1983.
In 1984, Bob was reunited in marriage with Ruth and they made their home in Shenandoah for the past five years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Agnes; sister, Ellen Cassity; and granddaughter, Shondelle Tysor Hale.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth of Shenandoah; five children, Robert Edward Jr. of Denver, CO; Randy of Oklahoma City, OK; Roberta of Altus, OK; Daniel of Moore, OK; and Russ of Norman, OK; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Memorial services for Mr. Tysor were at 7 PM Tuesday from the Hackett Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Ray officiating. Interment was in the Sunny Lane Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK on Thursday, Sept. 10. A nephew, Cecil Dale officiated at the graveside services. A memorial to the Memorial Baptist Church is being established.
