Funeral services were held June 8 for Harriet Stafford at the Crawford-Marshall Funeral chapel in Sidney. The Rev. Mary Jo Koehler of the Sidney Presbyterian church officiated.
Pallbearers were Randy Hickey, Roger Greene, Marion Roof, Robert Killion, Vance Hopkinson and Bill Bartholomew. Wanda Ewalt was organist. Jean Travis was in charge of the memory book. Dorothy Forney and Vivian McCartney cared for flowers, Interment was in the Thurman, Ia. cemetery. Memorials are directed to the Sidney Rescue Squad.

Harriet Stafford, 77 of Sidney, IA, died June 5, 1996, at Grape Community hospital in Hamburg, IA, following an extended illness. She was born May 6, 1919, in Columbus, MT., to Earl McCluskey and Essie Renolds McCluskey. On September 27, 1938, she was married to Cecil R. Stafford in Hamburg, IA.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Cecil Stafford; sister Mary Lou Cross; and a brother, Earl McCluskey, Jr. She is survived by two sons, Gary Stafford of Thurman, IA, and Stephen Stafford of Neola, IA; five grandchildren; sister, Helen Farmstead of Columbus, MT; numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
