Hubert Franklin McCluskey, son of Riley Bert and Elizabeth McCluskey, was born March 19,1903 and died May 23, 1988, at the age of 85 years, 2 months and 4 days.

Hubert graduated from the Thurman high school in 1921. He lived all of his life on the home farm purchased by his great grandfather when he first came to Iowa.

Hubert served in World War II in the Army Coast Artillery in Panama and later became a member of the American Legion.

His parents preceded him in death.
Services for Hubert F. McCluskey were held Wednesday, May 25 at the funeral chapel at Sidney, conducted by the Rev. David Wendel.
Casket bearers were Hugh Scrimsher, Carroll Loghry, Kenneth Earith, Dale Whipple, John Fields and Carl Travis.

Mrs. Danny Miller was organist. The selection was "The Old Rugged Cross." The memory book was cared for by Mrs. Carl Travis.
Interment was in the Thurman cemetery and the flag presentation by Williams-Jobe-Gibson American Legion Post No. 128.
