LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF DANIEL CARGILL
(not my relative)

I, Daniel Cargill of Ross Township, Fremont County Iowa make this my last will . I give devise and
bequeath my estate and property real and personal as follows, that is to say:
To my wife, Ann Maria the use during her life time of the N.W. of the S. W. 1/4 of Section fourteen
Township Seventy, Range forty two. Also the undivided 1/2 of twenty six acres in the middle part of
the S. E. of the S. E. and part of the S.W. of S. E. 1/4 of Section seventeen, Township seventy,
Range forty two. Said real estate at her death to be divided equally between Severne D. Cargill and
Arthur D. Cargill. I also bequeath all my personal property of every kind and description to my wife,
Ann Maria, after paying all just claims against the estate, except one certificate of membership in
the Odd Fellows Benevolent Protective Association of Glenwood Iowa which I give and bequeath to
Darius P. Cargill and one certificate of membership in the Odd Fellows Mutual Benefit Association
of Hamburg Iowa which I give and bequeath to Syrena A. Madison.

At Tabor, Ross Township on this 21st day of September 1878 the above named Daniel Cargill
signed and sealed this instrument and declared the same to be his last will and we in his presence
and at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as
witnesses.

I J. C. Lyman a Justice of the Peace in and for said county do hereby certify that before me this day
personally came Daniel Cargill to me personally known to be the identical person whose name is
affixed to the within will and acknowledged the said instrument and the execution thereof to be his
voluntary act and deed. Witness my hand this 21st day of September 1878
